Long time no see, Tumblr!

Pretty sure anyone that would be following me at least knows a little about me, but this post is geared toward folks that knew me on my old account.

I’ll be structuring this like a FAQ.  Probably the easiest way to go about it.

THE TL;DR QUESTIONS:

• Why are you here on a new account?
  

I left my old account mostly due to its age and associated baggage.  Twitter wasn’t great for visibility (big surprise), so I’ve been dissatisfied with it for a while.  The recent news is a part of it, but it was more like the final kick in the pants for me.

• What will you be doing in the future?

I’ll keep my Twitter for now, but I’ll be using it more for shorter thoughts, liveblogging, and random hyperfixations.  Art and story posts, meanwhile, will go here first and foremost, with the intention of making this blog an organized archive.

I made a new blog, considering recent news (though not only because of recent news).

This post is a mini-essay that goes into why I abandoned this blog.

I will still be keeping this blog for archival purposes!  I don’t want to break any links or anything.  But a new blog is for the best.

Hello again!  I’ve been trying to get more organized recently and while I had a list of places you could find me at the end of the Superego retrospective post, I realized that’s kind of a silly place to have it, so I’m putting one here too in the off chance someone’s looking at just this blog and nowhere else.

I will try to keep these lists updated, since I’ve lost plenty of internet friends over time due to websites and instant messaging programs falling out of favor and people moving elsewhere and such…lots of people I’d love to talk to again.  Alas!

• My Carrd is a good summary.
• Twitter for general posting, art posting, etc.  I only just realized it’d probably be a good idea to put all my art into a single thread, and I’m kicking myself for not doing that sooner…haven’t been drawing a TON lately but hopefully I’ll remember it when the time comes.
• Toyhouse, where all my OC info and art is going nowadays.  It’s definitely easier to wade through than the chaos that is Twitter!
• Art Fight, which I am participating in this month, and hopefully every year thereafter.

this is crossposted from my Twitter but since a few of you still only follow me here, if anyone wants my Discord hmu, the only caveats I have to give is that I’m incredibly shy to start conversations unless we’re talking OCs or something, and also if I have a few convos at once I can get overwhelmed and forget to reply because ADHD.  but otherwise I love talking OCs, RPing, whatev, I will gladly and enthusiastically hand over spoilers for anything I’ve ever done

Not too bad, but the lack of confidence makes me wonder if she’s even a real vampire. Actually, giving her a closer look, she looks like a recently-turned vampire who just got invited to the office’s Halloween party and is going to try and pass her looks off as a vampire COSTUME, but she’s really nervous about it. I personally think it’s a bad idea too, but godspeed. 7/10.

This vampire’s hair is TOO nice. I don’t trust it. That’s like, one step removed from Edward Cullen in a cape, and maybe that’s exactly what he’s banking on. Sure, that could make for a good vampire, but even if you’re holding up a façade of charming harmlessness in order to find prey, you don’t take THIS GOOD care of your hair unless you sincerely like it, and I’ve never met a man with this hairstyle who isn’t insufferable. 5/10.

Is… is that a walrus? Did somebody throw a widow’s peak’d cap and a cape on a walrus? It could be cute, but it just looks awfully uncomfortable. 3/10.

Okay, that’s cute, the lady going to the Halloween party is bringing her daughter along. She’d better tell her the truth about being a creature of the night once they go home, though. 8/10.

We have some variety here in that we have our first blonde, but at the same time I’m not sure how to feel about an emoji with this much eyeshadow. Also, is she even wearing anything under that?? She’s missing SOMETHING. 4/10.

Now look at that! A good, classic Dracula. His mouth is a little weird, but how could I possibly turn him down? 8/10.

This dude JUST became a Dracula and he’s fucking LOVING it. Can’t you just hear him saying he vants to sahk your vlahd? And honestly, with this much gusto, I couldn’t turn him down either. 9/10.

First, what the fuck is JoyPixels? Second, this is the Halloween party lady’s sire, coming to get her because holy shit, what is she thinking? And bringing her mortal daughter, too?? You’re not gonna be able to keep this up for long, Karen! Anyway, she’s trying very hard to blend in. The effort is admirable, but the combination of what appears to be a jacket, a sweater vest and a cape just looks like it would be uncomfortable to move in. 6/10.

Oh my god. He’s so sad. No wonder, because he looks terrible, but I can’t help felling sorry for him. Do you need a snack, OpenMoji Vampire? Would a sensual dance in front of a comically large mirror lift your spirits? Here, it’s okay. You can have a 7/10.

I’m gonna just straight call this tumblr inactive now, most of my friends have moved on and so as a result I’ve moved on too.  sucks because I really like tumblr’s format but…I’m where my friends are!

you can find me on my twitter for most posts and personal stuff, along with art every once and a while, and toyhouse for OC stuff.  I haven’t been doing much OC stuff nowadays though.  I haven’t wanted to draw in like…half a year, idk.  as a result the toyhouse is currently inactive but I plan to attack it once more once I get that spark again.  but as of right now I’m not forcing it.

as you can figure Superego’s pretty dead too.  I think it’d take some miracle of enthusiasm to make me want to update it again, so as a result I don’t mind sharing spoilers if you have questions.  I still intend on checking this tumblr every once and a while, but it’ll just be….like once a day, instead of My Usual Distraction.  toyhouse will also be updated with full spoilers in the character bios once I feel like doing that again.

I’m a lot more active on Twitter nowadays, the downside being I only have one twitter so you get art buried by goofy retweets, but I’m still, kinda better about posting art on there nowadays………..as well as sudden tweet chains about how I’ve been doing lately and then the hyperfocus wears off and I enter hibernation for a week, but, y’know,
